Ride Story
Hold on tight as your retro 2-passenger spacecraft levitates high into the air, pick up speed as you begin orbiting the Planets. Control your spaceship up and down, to catch the sights and sounds of Tomorrowland whirl by far below.
My Thoughts
This is a ride with a view. If you thought you could see a-lot from the people mover, try out Astro Orbiter at least once. If you’re uncomfortable with heights, this is one to miss. The way to reach this ride is by queuing at the base, and traveling up to your space ship via a lift. It is a tight fit up and in the space ship, so be warned that here, there is no space in space.
This is a ride that’s fun and a thrill, however it’s not one I’d insist on doing it every visit. It’s very similar to Dumbo and Aladdin Magic carpet, except the outer space theming.
If the queue is short, give this ride a turn while waiting for a fast pass or before food.
Top Tip: use this ride as a filler when waiting between fast passes or parades.
Ride Tip: for the best view keep your space ship up high all the way around.
Fun Fact: you take the elevator 2 stories up, higher than PeopleMover, before boarding your space ship
