Quick Guide to the Magic Kingdom

The first Disney Park people visit when on a Walt Disney World holiday, Magic Kingdom is a classic all round park for everyone in the family. The whole park has rides for kids and adults, as well as characters.

Broken into 6 different areas on the map:
1) Main Street USA
2) Tomorrowland
3) Fantasyland
4) Liberty Square
5) Frontierland
6) Adventureland

Main Street USA
The first themed area of the Magic Kingdom, many forget to stop and enjoy their surroundings. This is the big curtain reveal! Inspired by Walt Disney’s home town, the street opens up from either side of the train station around a centre square.
Looking around you will find classic themed buildings such as the fire station, city hall and the barber shop. Once you curve into the centre, the reveal of Cinderella’s castle at the end of Main Street is one that brings people to tears.
As the main shopping area of Magic Kingdom, you’ll find confectionary, balloons, plush and everything Disney along this road. However, take a look up and you’ll spot names of the designers along the windows. This street will be the first and last spot you see on a day at Magic Kingdom.

Tomorrowland
Off to the right of the Hub in front of Cinderella’s castle, Tomorrowland is based on the world of tomorrow. Here you can meet Buzz Lightyear, soar through space and ride the carousel of progress.
This is the land of tomorrow and the fun is endless and the laughs many when you visit the future.

Fantasyland
Enter the world of Fantasy via Cinderella’s castle and see how princesses live. From Ariels’ Grotto to Beasts castle, you can visit as the world of princesses and stories.
Visit your friend Winnie the Pooh or take a ride to Neverland, it’s a small world when in Fantasyland. This storybook corner can allow you to soar through the sky with Dumbo and meet the Minnie, Daisy, Goofy and Donald at the circus.

Liberty Square
A small corner of old town USA, liberty square is home to the presidents and ghosts. The 365 day Christmas Store is ready to welcome you as much as the 999 happy haunts up in Haunted Mansion on the hill.
The Hall of Presidents will show you the faces of all previous presidents and Sleepy Hollow Cafe will offer one of my favourite treats, nutella waffle with strawberries and bananas, before taking a ride on the Steam boats around Tom Sawyer island.

Frontierland
Nestled into the wild west Frontierland is home to the wildest ride i the wilderness, Thunder Mountain. When you’re not holding onto our hats and glasses, cool off on the high drop of Splash Mountain.
Listen to the music of the Country Bear Jamboree or grab some food within Pecos Bill next door, either journey will fill you up.

Adventureland
Home to the best cruise in the world, Jungle Cruise, Adventureland holds pirates, tropical birds and magic carpets all within their walls. Climb a tree and see how the famous Swiss Family Robinsons lived before heading back out onto the right side of the castle Hub.

Magic Kingdom will always be a favourite to many. Which land do you enjoy most? Is it he rides, theme or fond memories?

Stay tuned for an in dept look at each themed land and what adventures it holds.
