Magic Kingdom is known for their fireworks! Currently the show Happily Ever After, this show is done around the castle with music and projections to compliment.
To view the fireworks keep these tips in mind:
1) Find a spot within the Hub
2) Arrive 30minutes prior to projection and firework start
3) Stand behind a bin or railing if possible towards the centre
To see both fireworks and projection, it’s best to stay within the Hub area in front of the castle Fireworks can been seen from the Main Street and behind the castle. However, to see the castle projection it’s best to stay within the hub circle.
Standing in front of the stage will allow you to see the projections really well, but you will miss out on some of the fireworks.
Standing behind the castle will allow you to see half the fireworks and no projection.
Like the parade, the Hub will fill up 30-40minutes prior to start. On most nights there is a Once Upon a Time projection on the castle prior to fireworks that last around 15 minutes, and this is when most people will take their places as within minutes after the fireworks start.
Ideally, it’s best to find a spot behind a railing facing the fireworks or stand behind the bin. This means you have something between you and the next person to give a little extra viewing space.
Warning! No matter what spot you find for the projection and fireworks, there will always be a last minute person who places their child onto their shoulders.
For parents visiting the park with children, try and get close to the castle as this will allow your children to see more of the fireworks as they will have a more upward view than forward.
There are fast-passes for the fireworks and this is located around the additional grass area on the hub close to Casey corner and the Ice Cream shop on Main Street.
Check the Disney World app for times and fast-passes for both the fireworks and projection show.
Where do you normally stand for the fireworks? Do you watch both the projection and the fireworks? Any tips I may have missed for watching the fireworks?
