Guide to Staying Cool in Magic Kingdom

Staying cool in sunny Orlando, Florida is hard for the locals as well. However, around Magic Kingdom there are easy ways to cool down and relax while in the heat of the day.

Rides and Attractions
Rides and Attractions are the best way to cool down while still seeing the park. Dark rides are in-door and heavily air conditioned so give you a great break from the sun.
To get off your feet and cool down check out these attractions:
1. Carousel of Progress; Tomorrowland
2. Country Bear Jamboree; Frontierland
3. Enchanted Tiki Room; Adventureland
4. Tales with Belle; Fantasyland
5. Mickey’s PhilharMagic; Fantasyland

Ice Water
It sounds basic enough, drink water. However, between buying bottled water or using the water fountains a lot of people struggle to keep the water in take high.
Don’t worry though because you can get free ice water from most quick service counters such as:
1. Casey’s Corner; Main Street
2. Aloha Isle; Adventureland
3. Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe; Frontierland
4. Storybook Treats; Fantasyland
5. Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe;Tomorrowland

Chill in the Shade
Again, it sounds simple however there is not a lot of shade in Magic Kingdom. So check out these rides and areas to just sit in the shade for a few minutes and enjoy a breeze
1. Tea-cups; Fantasyland
2. People Mover; Tomorrowland
3. Tom Sawyer Island; Frontierland

Fans
If you’re a big fan of Disney, you need to have a fan for yourself. There are three types of fans commonly seen in the Disney Parks:
1. Electric hand held
2. Classic paper fans
3. Electric fans with a water spray.

Personally, I prefer to use a classic hand held paper fan in the parks. However, an electric fan is handy for those not up for the repetitive movement of a hand fan.
Which ever your choice, make sure to look up hand fans on Amazon before going to the parks, a fan is worth packing in your park bag.

Cooling Towel
There are several brands that support a “Cool Towel”, they all work respectively for each person. For me, a simple face cloth to wipe off excess sweat and to dampen with cool water helps me cool off.

These are a few of my tips to staying cool in Magic Kingdom. I have different tips and tricks for the various parks and similar ones. Keep an eye out for the different Guides to the respective Park coming soon.

What way do you stay cool to cool off in the Magic Kingdom? Are there any different ways I’ve missed?
