5 Thrill Rides in Magic Kingdom

In Magic Kingdom, you’ll find every type of ride you could imagine. For those who think Disney is just for kids, this post is perfect for you.

While Disney might not be known for the thrills there are some rides that can get your heart racing. If you’re looking to get the blood pumping check out these 5 Thrill Rides not to be missed in the Magic Kingdom:

  1. Space Mountain
  2. Thunder Mountain
  3. Splash Mountain
  4. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
  5. Tron

Space Mountain
My personal favourite, this indoor dark coaster is a thrill to the senses. Sitting 3 per cart, one behind the others, this ride takes you to outer space and back again.
Worth the wait in my opinion this ride will bring you up high and works the way down wards in darkness. A few stars can be seen and to a strong eye you can see the tracks and other carts wizzing through the dark around you. Make sure to keep your hands down, because they the track is packed in tight into the building.

Thunder Mountain
The wildest ride in the wilderness! This ride you can hear the joyful screams before you can find it. Tucked back into the corner of Frontierland, this out door coaster through the mining hills of the wild west makes your heart soar.
Suitable for most depending on the height requirements, this is certainly a ride that will thrill you with its fast twists and turns. Just make sure to keep your eyes on the goats.

Splash Mountain
A ride sure get a scream out of you, there’s no seat you can sit in to not get splashed.
Found in Frontierland, this ride is themed off the song Zip-a-Dee-Do-Da and boy does that song get stuck in your head. This ride is suitable for most families who don’t mind getting wet. However I will definitely say don’t let a little water stop you from joining this ride!

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
This daring mini coaster, as I call it, take takes you through the story of Snow White and the Seven dwarfs. Sitting you into the mine carts 2 each, you’ll be brought through the mines and straight to Snow White dancing in the cabin.
A quick thrill and an interactive queue, this ride is certainly one that’s worth whistling while you wait to ride.

Tron
Up coming ride to the Magic Kingdom, this ride will be located just behind Space Mountain in Tomorrowland. Similar to the coaster already in Shanghai Disney, this ride will have you seated in a light cycle and whizz you through the Tron game.
Bringing the Tron game back to life, this will certainly be one of the biggest thrills coming to Magic Kingdom!

These rides are certainly thrilling, but that’s not the only way to get a thrill at Disney. Let me know how you get your Disney thrills, is it the rides, the treats or the characters? What gives you a Disney Thrill?
