Finding the Castles

Where do I start?
Starting a blog was a hard thing to do but we are finally on a role, just like you can be once you find the Disney Castle you want to visit.

Firstly, I find most people only know of 3 Disney Locations in the world; Orlando, California and Pairs. While these are all Disney locations, there are in fact, 6 Parks in total. Not forgetting the Aulani Resort in Hawaii and the four, soon to be five, Disney Cruise ships; but we’ll get into those at a later date.

Focusing in on the Castle’s of Disney, we have the classic three as mentioned above in the West. However, there are also 3 more locations to the East; Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo. Each of these locations are as unique as the countries they’re located in.

I’ll go into the history of each park separately for those who, like me, enjoy the history of Disney. For now though, I’ll give you a quick over view of each castle.

In California, we have the fabulously pink (or is it blue?) Sleeping Beauty Castle. This location has 2 parks, Disneyland and California Adventure. As well as a Disney Shopping area and Disney Resorts.

In Orlando, we have the most famous of all, Cinderella’s Castle. This location has 4 parks and 2 water parks available to guests with a Disney Shopping area and Disney Resorts.

In Paris, we have another Sleeping Beauty Castle, this one has a special surprise in the caves beneath. Paris location also has 2 parks, Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios, along side are the Disney Resorts and Disney Shopping area.

In Hong Kong, we have a Castle under renovation! That’s right, the Hong Kong Castle, previously a Sleeping Beauty castle is being transformed into a story book castle, which will have inspirational elements from the 13 Disney Princesses. Unlike the other parks this is a new castle design for the one park and only has 3 Disney Resorts. No shopping area here.

In Shanghai, we have the Storybook castle! The first of its kind, this castle was made specifically to display the classic silhouette of a castle while inspiring stories from it. Shanghai has only 1 park with Disney Resorts and a Disney Shopping area.

In Tokyo, we have a Cinderella Castle at the centre of this park. Tokyo has 2 parks, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea, as well as a Disney Shopping area and 4 Disney Resorts.

These 6 Castles will be the starting point of our journey. We will cover food, rides, characters; and everything inside and out of the parks! A trip to any of these destinations are worth it and a different experience each time.

I’ve revisited Walt Disney World for 20 years and I still have a different experience each year. Something is always changing and events are always happening, pushing the limits of the Guests expectations!

So stay tuned to get the low downs and the insights to the Disney Experience, starting off with Disneyland Hong Kong.
